The Art of Minimalism

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s brand The Row was built  on the principles of ease, effortlessness and minimalism, and their FW20 collection which marked their brand’s 10th anniversary was no different. With a signature aesthetic of simplicity and authenticity , the duo has managed to maintain the attention of their audience with abstract elegance and precise tailoring. The FW20 collection in particular was created with simplicity at its core, composed of carefully curated silhouettes.  A common thread of layered suiting and oversizing was strung throughout the collection. From three-piece suits , to oversized trousers , coats and blazers and turtlenecks presented under silk button up shirts. A neutral palette of black, brown and white was maintained with pops of blue throughout. Of course their multiple award-winning accessory department did not disappoint with innovative designs like elbow-length knit gloves, oversized clutch handbags and soft leather bags. As simple as it may seem, the attention to detail was evident as each look carried a commendable composure and completeness that created a sort of sartorial poetry for the woman who prefers a subtler kind of luxury.
