PETER DO - Those that came before us

Peter Do’s Spring Summer 2022 collection was his first runway show ever, and for the occasion, the designer was inspired by photographs of his grandmother’s past church outfits, which led him down an exploration of the traditional Vietnamese dress ao dai. Through re-interpretation, he created a silhouette that included updated lapels and closures. Another image of his parents where his mother carries a rose sparked the inspiration for a few of the embroidered pieces. Each piece was a personal tribute to his heritage and family, while at the same time creating emphasis on the concept of being practical while looking good.
