MONCLER 1952 The Power of Dualism
For the creation of the 2 Moncler 1952 women’s collection, Italian designer Veronica Leoni was tasked with creating a collection that celebrates the power of dualism. Dualism in a very personal sense of the word as it’s a stimulus that gives insight into the dynamics of her recent innate need for reassurance and contrasting urge for escapism that are both encapsulated in a collection that was crafted with the brand’s vocabulary of feminine, clean, bold and spontaneous. The lineup features silhouettes with cinched waists and full skirts that nods to a traditional fifties mood, with layers of modernism. Puffer jackets are included in different lengths and textures including a detachable blanket version , a metallic version and a matte version that gives an extra push of eccentricity. A main feature of the collection also includes knitwear that allows for both comfort and functionality with lurex jumpers and matching skirts and felted and flared dresses. All throughout the collection a variety of different textures can be featured including Moncler’s nylons, longue saison , felted wool , technical silk, and an occasional print of Kermit and Fozzy from Disney’s The Muppets Show that is featured in two of the designs. Hats, duvets scarves, framed lady bags and towering platform boots also complement the collection. The 2 Moncler 1952 Woman collection is currently available online and in stores.
